Owners and developers
Your own record of the project, independent of the contractor.
Scheduled captures, 360 walks, view studies and marketing media for owners, developers and their representatives. See the site without being on it, and verify before you release money.
Canada-wide · Transport Canada Advanced RPAS · Commercially insured
See what you are paying for, from wherever you are.
This is for owners, developers, development managers and owners' representatives on commercial, multi-family, institutional and industrial projects, and the lenders and partners they report to.
The contractor's report tells you what the contractor wants you to know. That is not an accusation; it is their job. Yours is to know what is actually there, especially when money is being released against it.
Lensdrone gives you an independent, scheduled record of the project: aerial captures, 360 walks before cover, handover condition, and for developers, the views and media to sell it before it exists.
Progress
Remote visibility on your schedule, not the contractor’s
An independent, dated record of the site delivered to you, so the monthly report has a picture behind every claim.
Owner’s progress record
Same vantage points every cycle, comparison sheets, a 360 walk of the interiors. The first page of the monthly report, produced for you.
Lender and partner reporting
A link a lender or a JV partner can open instead of a site visit they have to schedule.
Portfolio view
Several projects on the same cycle, delivered the same way, so a development manager can compare them.
Where the saving is
The saving is the site visit you did not have to make, and the meeting that started from the same image rather than two descriptions of it.
Quality
Verify claimed work before releasing the draw
What the pay application says against what the site shows, and a record of the building before it was covered.
Draw verification
A dated aerial and 360 walk from the same week as the application. Work in place verification with pictures, not a phone call.
Pre-cover record you own
360 walks before drywall and ceilings, pinned to the plans, in your account. Useful at warranty time and for the life of the building.
Handover condition
Roof, facade and site captured at substantial completion, so the baseline for warranty and maintenance is yours.
Where the saving is
Paying for work that is not there, and discovering it at the next draw, is the expensive version. The routine saving is the argument avoided because both sides looked at the same record.
Safety
Marketing and view studies without a scaffold
For developers, the third outcome is selling the project: views and context captured before the building exists.
Floor-by-floor view studies
360 panoramas at the elevation of each floor. The view from the unit, before the unit exists.
Context and marketing media
Stills, video and 360s of the site in its neighbourhood, licensed to you outright for the brochure, the listing and the deck.
Massing overlays
Your architect’s massing model placed in the aerial at the right scale and position.
Where the saving is
A view study from a drone replaces a scissor lift or a crane basket and gives you every floor in one visit. The marketing media is captured once and reused for the life of the campaign.

FAQ
Questions owners and developers teams ask
Our contractor already sends progress photos. Why do we need our own?
Because they are the contractor’s photos, taken when and where the contractor chose. An owner’s record is captured on your schedule, from fixed positions, and delivered to you. It is not a sign of distrust; it is the same reason you have your own consultant.
Can the contractor object to a drone on site?
We coordinate with the contractor, attend the site orientation and follow their safety rules. In practice most contractors welcome it, because the record helps them as much as you. It is worth naming it in the contract so there is no question.
Is this only for large, multi-year projects?
No. The smallest programmes we run are a few visits over a single phase, or a single inspection of one building. What matters is whether someone needs to see or measure something they cannot easily get to. Project size is not the deciding factor.
What if our site is in controlled airspace?
Most urban sites are. Every operator we dispatch holds the Advanced RPAS certificate, which is the one that permits controlled airspace flight, and we request NAV CANADA authorisation before each visit. It adds lead time to the first capture, rarely to the cost.
Who owns the data?
You do. Every photo, video, map and model is yours to use however you want, with no licensing fee and no expiry. We keep a copy for the duration of the project in case a file goes missing on your side, then delete it unless you ask us to keep it.
How fast can you be on site?
It depends on where the site is and whether airspace authorisation is needed. Tell us the location and we will give you a date. Ben flies personally where he can and dispatches a vetted, licensed, insured operator elsewhere in Canada. Either way, Lensdrone is the one accountable operator of record.
