Who we are

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through the quote form, the chat-style form, the instant ballpark tool or by email, we collect what you give us: name, company, email, phone, site location, the service you are asking about, timing, size, your role, and your message. We also record the page the enquiry came from, the time, your IP address and browser type, for spam prevention and support.

The site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, records standard server logs.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, and to deliver work you commission. That is the only purpose. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or rent your details.

Where it is stored and who sees it

• Enquiries are stored in Cloudflare Workers KV (Cloudflare, Inc.), which may store data outside Canada.
• Notification and confirmation emails are sent through Resend (Resend, Inc.).
• Spam protection on the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes your browser details to tell people from bots.
• Only Benjamin Taft and, where a job is dispatched, the assigned operator see your enquiry.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted within 24 months. Records for completed work are kept for as long as Canadian tax and contract law require. Captured imagery and data from a job belongs to you and is handled as described in the quote.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
