The problem
Arno Matis Architecture wanted a single image for the studio’s website that placed the practice in its city: Vancouver, seen the way an architect thinks about it, with the whole downtown skyline, False Creek and the North Shore in one frame.
What we captured
A stitched aerial panorama from above Broadway on a clear February morning, 16 February 2021, looking north. Low winter sun from the east, the towers and the mountains sharp behind them. Stitched from multiple overlapping frames so the finished image is wide enough to run as a full-width web background and still hold detail.
What changed
The panorama became the backdrop for the studio’s site. A view most people in Vancouver recognise, from an angle none of them have stood at.
